The cheif export of Chuck Norris is pain.
I've been meaning to update for quite some time. I've had the page open for a least three days so that I wouldn't forget. However sometimes I feel very stupid for updating this. Partly because I think only one person reads it and partly because I do very stupid things and then talk about them here. For example, I am wearing my cute new skirt to work today specifically because the cute new cafe guy is going to be in for training.
I've been reading this blog lately of this women who, long story short, is able to support her family from her website alone. As the deadline to make a decision about my future career is rushing towards me faster and faster I find myself wishing I could do that. How wonderful would it be to get married, have some cute kids, and get paid to write about it all? I know this is not likely to happen since, as I mentioned above, only one person reads this.
A few weeks ago my stalker came in again. Luckily on wasn't scheduled to be on registers so I could wander off and pretend to be busy. More than one of my coworkers asked if they could kick/hit/or otherwise violently attack him. He hung around for a good two hours before he started asking Deb at the registers weird questions about the "vibe" he gives off. Her response to that was "Is this about books?". This is one of the many reasons Deb it one of my favorite people ever. This got him to leave and he has not been back since.
Sunday it was really busy at work. I was supposed to be front of store but there was a huge line at the registers so I was up there helping. I was at the last register and this guy in a very nice suit and his son come up and he asked if anyone was working the floor that could help him. I immediately said that I could and asked him what he was looking for. He apologized a million times for pulling me away from my job (despite me ensuring him that I was supposed to be helping people find books anyways). I spent close to a half an hour trying to find a very specific book for his son who had just received his first communion that day. We didn't have the book but I was calling around trying to find it. His son didn't want to wait the 5 days it would take to order it. Finally the dad decided that they would look around and decide about ordering it and get back to me. Later on they came up to the registers to check out while I was up there again. I wasn't ringing them up but they wanted to reserve that book at a different Borders to pick up the next day and I was telling Peter which book it was and stuff. This guy was raving about me the whole time. Peter was on hold with the other Borders and therefore they were still waiting when I went to go back out on the floor. The dad stopped me to thank me a few more times and tell me that he had gotten a survey and he would definitely fill it out and mention my name and how helpful I was. Peter got off the phone and told them it'd be waiting for them and all that and after they left he pulled me aside to point out how well I handled that and how great I am at making customers happy even when we don't have the book. This may seem like a silly thing to be so hung up on but that father could not have been happier, and Peter (my manager) noticed how happy he was which got me major brownie points.
On the 28th of last month I walked into Best Buy. It was two days after the release of a highly talked about new video game. I was there to purchase that video game. I didn't have very high hopes but I asked none the less. I happily walked out of the store as the proud owner of my very own copy of Mario Kart Wii. It is the best game I have ever played. There are so many wonderful aspects to this game that I can't even begin to describe them. You will just have to come over and play it with me. There is a bit of a learning curve when you begin to play the game, it takes a few races for you to remember to turn the wheel and not use the D-pad. There is only one game that I feel might be able to trump this one is awesome. That game is Wii Fit. It comes out the 21st of this month. The only thing about that that makes me sad is that the day it comes out I will be a little over 90 dollars poorer.
A few weeks ago I bought 4 or 5 CD's that I ordinarily wouldn't because they were hugely on sale. One of these CD's was the best of Sevendust. Now, I haven't actually listened to Sevendust since Drew and I broke up Sophomore year (he was obsessed with them), but I seemed to remember liking them well enough and being in love with one particular song for a while. As I listened to the CD for the first time I realized how much I do not like them. Has my musical taste changed that much since high school? I suppose they are talented and all, just not my kinda thing. I flipped through the tracks looking for that song that I loved so much. Turns out it is their ballad that sounds absolutely nothing like any of the other songs, and it's not even as good as I remember. Oh well. If I am going to be a music guru I'm going to have to learn to like it all.
I suppose that's all for tonight.

Chuck Norris never hides, he only seeks.
Where to begin. I guess I'll start with my stalkers. A few weeks ago this guy was following me around the second floor talking to me. At first I thought he was just trying to find new music and whatnot but then he started getting creepy. Long story short he tried to get my email/facebook/whatever and I lied and said I didn't have one. I also claimed that I had moved here so recently that I didn't even have a phone number. Then last night this guy came in and spent at least an hour and a half trying to get me to work for him. I couldn't really tell if he was hitting on me or not. Tonight I was off but I got a message from Jill (she works in the cafe) that said this guy (who she thought was the first guy) was in there looking for me. She told Bob (one of the managers) but wasn't sure if it was the same guy or not. I called back and left a message with a description of the first guy for her. After getting home I left a note on her Facebook and she told me a little more about the guy. I am almost positive it was the second guy (had on a Verizon name tag to begin with). I was a little worried about the first guy but this second one *seems* mostly harmless. I'll have to talk to Bob about it tomorrow.
I went to see Nim's Island tonight with my mom. Please for your own sakes don't ever watch that movie. Before that I managed to spend over 80 dollars on shoes, 10 dollars on a skirt, and 10 dollars on stamps. Damn sales.
I'm going to see the Big Apple Circus next week. I am very excited about this. I also might go see They Might Be Giants in New York on the 20th.
I guess that's all the important stuff for now. I'm going to go read.
Who reads this thing anyways?
Sleep tight.

Guns don't kill people, Chuck Norris does.
Lots of things have happened since my last post. Also, soon I will be posting pictures of the stuff I bought in Japan.
First of all I cut off all my hair and dyed it. The dying job didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped. I am adding baking soda to my shampoo every morning so that it will fade faster and I can cover it up. On a side note it is scary how much baking soda does. It's for baking, cleaning, deodorizing, making hair color fade. The cut it's self is absolutely PERFECT and I could not love it more. Here are some pictures of my new cut and color.

That last one was in an attempt to show you the color of my hair. It's not so good at doing that. It's kind of this color-ish, only pinker.
I went to see Bucket List with my parents a few nights ago. The movie it's self was pretty good. However by 25 minutes into it I was so mad I was ready to cry. This was caused by two dumbass adult ladies that should have known better. If you really want me to go on a rant just ask, I figured I'd spare you me getting all worked up again about it.
I'm pretty disappointed in my iPod Touch. I haven't been able to get it to load all the songs of any one album. Ever album consists of only about 5 or 6 songs by the time it gets to my iPod. When I had worked up the energy to fight with it again iTunes had stopped recognizing my external hard drive so now I can't even try to load it again until Daniel helps me fix that. I have returned to using my trusty 5th gen that is so nice and reliable. I am going to be pretty pissed if I can't get this thing to work. Although if I get really fed up with it and return it I can use that money towards a Mac.
I got a new stereo installed in my car. Not only does it play CD's like it's supposed to, it has a USB port for my iPod, AND doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like my old one did. Now only if I had a manual to figure out how to set the clock and I'd be set. I need to get working on searching for one on the intertubes.
I was talking to my dad on the phone earlier today and he said he needed some help with a project and needed it done by tonight. I agreed to help if I could and asked what he needed. He needed an out line of the US without the states, an outline of Japan, and a silhouette of an aircraft carrier. I had found the first before he finished telling me what he needed and had found the other two before we were even halfway done talking. He was EXTREMELY impressed with my internet searching skills.
Sometime last week I got in the mail a new face plate for my Wiitar. I have no idea why this was sent to me. I am desperately curious as to where this wonderful gift came from. As soon as I find a place that carries them for the Wii I am going to exchange it for one that is cooler.
I bought two pairs of chucks last week that make me so unbelievably happy. I bought neon pink and brown low tops. I haven't actually worn the brown ones yet because I am so in love with my new pink ones. I am also going to buy these and some crazy Reeboks soon:

The usually black plastic line around the bottom looks like it's drawn on. They are so amazing.
If you hadn't noticed from the subject line I bout that book of Chuck Norris statements and it was the best purchase ever. Especially considering there was a 40% off coupon. All subject lines for a while will probably be in regards to Chuck Norris.
Well that's all for tonight.

A Random Collection of Thoughts
1. I like how when my dog sleeps in my bed he insists on being pushed up against me if not partially on top of me.
2. I like having a friend who is cool with high fives for no reason, dead baby jokes, decides we need "best friend" necklaces the first time we really talk, and when I blatantly cheat while playing the Dilbert game tells the two boys we are playing with (who are complaining loudly) that we are girls and are allowed to do that.
3. I like my job and most of the people I work with and like that more than the job itself.
4. I am disappointed that I didn't get a new car but I still love mine. Even if it is in the shop again and the CD player doesn't work anymore.
5. I miss going to concerts every weekend at a place where the guy at the door doesn't need to ask how old I am and 9 times out of 10 can guess what band I'm there to see.
6. I need to find a venue like that here and start going to shows again.
7. I need to grow up, go to school, and move out of my parents' house.

I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!
I know I fail! But my computer and I haven't been seeing eye too eye. I'll post more and real stuff soon!

I can't remember what Blendy is exactly but it has a great name.

This is the bullet train. It's not the best picture ever but it's still kinda cool.

Everyone loves some good ol' hair rope.

I say again.

This was at a shrine or something (can't remember exactly what) in Kyoto.

My family at the shrine thing not paying attention.

There is a HUGE shrine thing inside that building.

This is a cool lamp like thing.

Jeremy looks slightly evil here.

This is a crazy fountain with a dragon on it.

Jeremy is pretending to be the crazy dragon.

They build the biggest buildings.

All their old buildings and doorways and stuff are crazy elaborate.

In Soviet Russia, you do not live, life lives you. Apparently that's true for Japan too.

I don't know what is up with this box-dude but he was pretty awesome. I found him in the post office.

This is a mail box. It is also the coolest mailbox ever.

First of many random street shots. This one is from Kyoto.

This is a cool music shop I saw.

This is a Pachinko place. They are wicked loud. Jeremy says that gambling is illegal so you go and play and win these little silver balls and then you trade those in for prizes and go next door and sell your prizes.

Watch for men walking in hats.

This drink looks disgusting but it is so happy!

You can buy soft serve ice cream at 7-11

So I bought one! Did I mention that in Japan it's 7 and i holdings?

I'm not sure what this is but it's special.

Japanese food is happy food.

I don't know what a safety station is but 7-11 is one. It's gotta be good with a mascot like that!

Did I mention the number of random street shots?

Japanese castles look way different than how you picture a castle.

Castles are big.

And pointy?

I'm not sure what these are but they have a sign and some kids on a field trip (at least I think they were on a field trip) were taking pictures of them so I figured I should too.

It's a tree!

More trees?

I wish I could have taken pictures inside. It was really cool with these fake people showing you what the different rooms were for. I don't know what they have against chairs.

This place was pretty huge.

This could just be telling you where the bathrooms are but I have no way of knowing that for sure.

They have pretty gardens at Japanese castles.

Did I mention this place was huge?

Like I said they had pretty gardens.

These are crazy plants.

Jeremy, my mom, and I in front of some plants.

More of the crazy plants.

It's a bridge thing.

The view from the bridge.

I'm not actually entirely sure what is in this picture. I do know that it's still at the castle.

Again, not really sure.

The other side of the bridge.

I took a ton of pictures at this place.

A place that gives you a view of most of the castle.

There were a ton of stairs up to that place with the view. LOOK AT ALL THE STAIRS.

I think this is a shrine at the castle.

Picture of the family on the bridge.

Check out these crazy trees.

This was originally a shogun's retirement home until he died and it was turned into a shrine. It's covered in gold leaf.

It's very shiny.

They have the BEST "pardon our dust" type signs.

They throw coins at a circle of rocks instead of fountains.

I'm really bad at remembering what I took pictures of.

You ring the giant bell/gong thing and then pray.

They leave robes in hotel rooms for it!

"Please choose it among each item one by one" with room service directions like that you can't go wrong.

The good night switch is ON, HOORAY!

I really want to know what kind of play on words empty is.

Crazy big eyed fish in this mall

A picture of the mall. They had EVERYTHING.

Jeremy and Kieko at the karaoke bar.

Did you know that the drinking age in Japan is 20?

Singing with a guy Jeremy works with and his sister.

This is Ahkihabra(sp?) it is like the electronics mecca!

Papa Crepe. That's right, crepes sold out of a van. I really wanted one.

This place was crazy crowded. I bought a swatch for 20 bucks though.

This is the first Jband I saw.

They were great considering the guy with the megaphone right next to them. Although they had a serious lack of drummer.

It's what we have all been waiting for! Sweets has come!

This is the high end shopping district in Tokyo

This is the worlds tinniest elevator. We took it up to the worlds coolest guitar shop. I almost bought like three guitars, no joke.

This is downtown Tokyo. There were a TON of people. It was crazy!

Luckily at this point I had already come to terms with the fact that I would, no matter how hard I tried not to, get lost in Japan.

This is Tokyo at night, and some dude in a yellow hat.

Another, blurrier, picture of Tokyo at night.

This is the OWND cafe. I couldn't resist. We found this while trying to find out way to the park with all the Jbands. I'm so glad we got off at the wrong stop.

So we found the park and this cool drum group. Outside of the picture was this guy dancing like crazy. The black guy with the dreds was the only one looking like he was having any fun what-so-ever. Jeremy and I were trying to figure out which of the guys the lone chick was dating. She's the one in the leather jacket in front of that big green thing. She played the cow bell.

These are the worst 50's dancers ever. But they looked like they where having so much fun!

This is the drummer and bassist of this one band I found. They are pretty great. I got a free CD from them.

I got a free hug!

Who doesn't love free hugs?

Check out these crazy Lolita chicks. The one on the left had so many hair clips and crap in her hair you almost couldn't see her hair!

I don't know what was up with these dudes but they were all about taking pictures with people. The one on the left seemed to think I had the best pants ever.

They put flowers on the tables at the Freshness Burger. Freshness Burger is Japan's answer to American fast food places. It was a little crazy, also they had run out of burgers.

Hold it in your hand, love it in your tummy! These were the most wonderfully delicious crepes I have ever had. Who knew that the Japanese were so good at French food?

Do I really need to say anything here? "Delicious Potato"

This is C.C. Lemon. It is basically carbonated lemonade, it has the vitamin C of 77 lemons! Wow.
More coming soon!

I can't remember what Blendy is exactly but it has a great name.
